Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines the terms governing project cancellations and refunds at DEVELOPERS. We believe in transparency — this document explains exactly what you can expect if you need to cancel a project, based on how far development has progressed.

Overview

At DEVELOPERS, every project is divided into 5 milestones. Each milestone represents a phase of development with a corresponding payment. Refund eligibility is determined by how many milestones have been paid at the time of cancellation.

Our policy is designed to be fair — clients retain the right to cancel at any stage, and the refund amount decreases as more development work is completed and paid for.

Important: Once the 4th milestone has been paid, the project is considered substantially complete and no refund is possible. Please review this policy carefully before placing an order.

Payment Structure

All projects follow this milestone-based payment structure:

Milestone 1 Initiation & Planning 20% of total
Milestone 2 UI/UX Design 20% of total
Milestone 3 Development Phase 1 20% of total
Milestone 4 Development Phase 2 20% of total
Milestone 5 Testing & Deployment 20% of total

Milestones 1 and 2 (totalling 40%) are collected as the advance payment required to initiate work. The remaining 60% is paid across Milestones 3, 4, and 5 as development progresses.

Milestone-Based Refund Policy

The refund amount depends entirely on which milestone was most recently paid when you request cancellation:

Cancel before or after Milestone 1
Cancellation before the 3rd milestone payment date. Development has only just begun — planning and initiation work completed.
20% Refund of Total Paid
Cancel after Milestone 2 (before Milestone 3 payment)
Design phase completed. Cancellation before the 3rd milestone payment still qualifies for a 20% refund of the total amount paid.
20% Refund of Total Paid

Cancel after Milestone 3 (before Milestone 4 payment)
Core development phase completed. A partial refund of 5%–10% of total paid may be issued depending on the extent of work completed. The standard rate applied is 7.5%.

Once the 4th milestone is paid, the project is substantially complete. No cancellations or refunds are permitted at this stage. The project proceeds to final delivery.

Final testing, deployment, and project handover. This is the completion milestone. No cancellations apply — your project is live and delivered.

Refund calculation example: If your total project cost is ₹50,000 and you have paid ₹20,000 (Milestones 1 & 2) and cancel before Milestone 3 is due, your refund would be 20% of ₹20,000 = ₹4,000.

Non-Refundable Situations

No refund will be issued in the following circumstances, regardless of milestone stage:

Fraud Notice: Any attempt to falsely claim a refund, initiate chargebacks without following this policy, or misrepresent project status will result in immediate account termination and may lead to legal action.

How to Request a Cancellation

To request a project cancellation and refund, follow these steps:

You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation request is received. Our team will review the request and respond within 3–5 business days.

Alternative: If you are unable to access your dashboard, you may also submit a cancellation request by emailing developersinthehouse@gmail.com with your Project ID, registered email, and reason for cancellation.

Refund Processing & Timeline

Once a cancellation is approved by our team:

You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated from our end. If you do not receive your refund within 15 business days of approval, please contact us.

Refund Method: Refunds are always returned to the same account or card used for payment. We do not issue refunds via bank transfer to different accounts or via alternative payment methods.

Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a refund decision made by our team, you may escalate the matter by emailing us at developersinthehouse@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Dispute — [Your Project ID]".

We will review your case and respond within 10 business days with a final decision.

If the dispute remains unresolved, it will be handled in accordance with the dispute resolution process described in our Terms & Conditions, under the jurisdiction of courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Chargeback Warning: Filing a chargeback with your bank without first following this dispute resolution process is a violation of our Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to contest all chargebacks with full documentation of project delivery.
